Body Type: Semi-Hollow
Brand: Hofner
All returns accepted: ReturnsNotAccepted
Condition: Instrument is in very good overall condition, in our opinion. While the guitar has some wear and small dings on the body of the instrument, they do not affect the playability of the instrument. This guitar came to us with a repaired heel crack which is unfortunately common in archtops of this size. Fortunately, our all-star luthier spent time stabilizing the crack even more to provide years of enjoyment and worry-free play. If not for looking for it, you would not even notice it (yeah he's that good). There are also 2 little yellowish spots on the pick guard where the plastic is beginning to oxidize & break down, yet very minimally. Guard is still 100% intact, this is purely a cosmetic, and not a structural issue. Please see the attached photos.
Dexterity: Right-Handed
Country/Region of Manufacture: German
Color: Natural blonde

Vintage Hofner Archtop Acoustic Guitar~1950s-60s Natural Blonde Finish w/ Non Original Case
Product description
Vintage Hofner Archtop Acoustic Guitar~1950s-60s Natural Blonde Finish w/ Non Original Case
Here’s a vintage, full hollow body archtop guitar from the famous German axe-makers at Hofner. While Hofner may be famous for their violin bass models thanks to Sir Paul McCartney, their beautiful archtop guitars are awesome instruments as well and provide a crisp, yet balanced melodious tone, along with ease of playability.  Although we cannot nail down the exact model, it has all the features of Hofner archtops from the 1960s with a big 16 1/8″ lower body width.
This guitar comes with a non-original chipboard case and this instrument is ALL original.  This guitar is an exceptional example of this famous German manufacturer, and the axe still sounds loud and proud despite some legitimate play wear and a heel crack that was stabilized by our wonderful luthier for guaranteed enjoyment while you’re picking.

**SPECIAL NOTE: It is with a very heavy heart that we wish to share the news of the recent passing on
Dec 6, 2020, of our almost 12 year old red & white beagle, our beloved Ace. He was our mascot and namesake of this shop on Reverb.com. He gave us the initial inspiration to sign up with Reverb.com, primarily due to the name that we chose to use on this fantastic website. He was also the chief of security & official greeter for our bricks & mortar shop, always ready to engage with the customers; tail wagging, always happy & forever on the lookout for any ingestible treats that our customers wished to share with him as well as a nice butt or belly rub.
Ace is, and will continue to be, very sorely missed by all who knew him. Our shop will never be the same without his presence. But, his intense spirit and joie de vivre lives on, through our loving memories of him and also via this wonderful platform online. Love the heck out of ya, Acie!!
Sadly, Ellis
