This 1978 Porsche 924 was acquired by the current owner in 1981 and is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in Dolomite Grey over a grey leatherette and cloth interior and equipped with aftermarket 15? ATS phone-dial-style alloy wheels, a 944 rear spoiler and tail light panel, a removable sunroof, and a turbo-style nose panel and hood with a NACA duct. This Porsche is sold with three keys, service records since 1981, an owner’s manual, original purchase paperwork, and a clean Minnesota title.
he exterior is finished in Dolomite Grey and has been fitted with a turbo-style nose panel and hood with a NACA duct along with a 944-sourced rear spoiler and tail light panel. Additional equipment includes a removable sunroof, dual side mirrors, and pop-up headlights. The seller notes the headlight motors intermittently function and the right tail light bulb is burnt out.
A set of aftermarket 15? ATS phone-dial alloy wheels are wrapped in 215/55 Pirelli P7F tires. The brake booster was replaced with a remanufactured unit and a brake fluid flush was performed in 2017.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in grey leatherette with cloth inserts along with matching door panels and carpets. Amenities include power windows and an Alpine CD stereo.
A leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The five-digit mechanical odometer was repaired in 2017 and currently shows 48k miles. Previous owner has video of changing the gear and believes mileage is original but since it was repaired we won’t make that actual mile claim.
The 2.0-liter inline-four features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 110 horsepower and 111 lb-ft of torque, which is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle. An oil change was performed approximately 30 miles ago in 2017.
